Meerkats & The Train

We went to the zoo today and Anna really took to the meerkats. They were digging holes in the dirt and running around so she couldn't help but fall in love with them. I had to go back a second time as she talked about them all the way through the zoo. We also checked out a few of the new zoo babies—the giraffe, a monkey, and more.

We got a pretty good show with the monkeys this morning. They were chasing each other around and Anna and another little girl (a little older) were laughing so hard at them that that alone was worth all of the traffic we had to sit in there and back today.

She rode on a bear on the carousel and then we walked past the antelopes on our way to lunch. After lunch we rode on the train. She really liked it again. We also saw quite a few school buses in the parking lots around the park which she found particularly thrilling.

She has a bit of a runny nose and is drooling a bit today so I'm thinking she must be working on a new tooth. She has never actually gotten drooly when teething, so this is kind of new. She is still in a good mood though so that helps a lot.
