Shadows & Strings

Tuesday afternoon when we went out to get the mail, Anna noticed her shadow on the ground. So we observed hers, mine, the mail's, and her cup's shadows which she seemed to find pretty interesting.

Yesterday afternoon when we went out to get the mail, a red truck drove by and Anna said, "red truck" (pause) "drive by." She is stringing words together really well. She wanted to read The Foot Book last night and it was on top of the stack of books by the chair in her room so she said, "Foot book up high." Amazing!

I'm also always impressed that she recognizes each of her books by the spine and has a name for them all (a lot of times at least one word from the title—obviously because I tell her the title of the book!—but sometimes by what picture is on the front).
