It's 4 AM and I haven't slept yet. Anna woke at 11:30, I held her for a few minutes and she was awake but not mad until 2 AM so I went back in and held her a little longer. I'm still awake. I think I napped too long yesterday. It is so hard to not nap in the afternoon but I'll try to at least take a shorter nap tomorrow. I'm feeling hopeful abut Anna's jet lag at least since she was awake for less time tonight. Planning an 8 AM start again in the morning (yikes! I have less than four hours to sleep tonight!!).

Hey Becky,
I've been tracking your move to Doha eagerly and am so glad to see you all arrived safely and are finding all the normal 'Western' comforts. It must also be a big relief to have sold your house, even though it took so long!
(By the way, I DID notice that you skipped your birthday entirely on the blog...hope you still celebrated even if it was 'off the record!').
We will be spending Christmas in Germany, and will head home after that for about 10 days to see the fam in Colorado. Everyone says it's been too warm here to really feel like Christmas, but I have to say that Christmastime in Germany is pretty great. Every little town has their own Christmas Market and there are all these traditional drinks (usually mulled wine) and foods (fried potato cakes, ginger cookies, and of course, bratwurst!). I am walking around with this kind of constantly bloated feeling because I don't want to miss the chance to try anything new while I'm here, and I am also not making it to the gym as much as I had hoped...we all know what that means...But we will post some pictures of the Christmas market to the blog soon.
Looking at a map, your new time zone must only be an hour or two off of ours...very exciting!
Say hi to Craig & Anna for me,
Erin
