Organizing the Elmo pictures: "What nice Elmos!"
This is the one we go out and about with. We assume it is because he's in a carseat.
Friday night I went to Sesame Street's website and downloaded a bunch of Elmo coloring pages for Anna. Saturday morning I gave her the sheets and she was so excited about them that when she & I went to Toys R Us (to buy some more Legos and to get out of the house just the two of us), she brought the picture of Elmo in the carseat in to the store with her instead of Daddy Cat, Mama Mouse, or Pink Noisy Cat. Later that afternoon, Craig & Anna ran out to the grocery store and for a quick carousel ride. Guess who rode the horse next to Anna on the carousel? The picture of Elmo in the carseat.
Saturday night I ordered a plush Elmo from Sesame Street's website for my mom to bring with her next week. Anna is going to freak out, I am sure of it. Toys R Us had one Elmo item (and I was able to not let Anna see it): a bubble machine. They did, however have some Ernie dolls which Anna noticed but since she currently doesn't know that Ernie & Elmo are on the same show, I didn't give in to my impulse to buy it!
