I know I posted this information in multiple name polls earlier this year, but wanted to just post again how we decided on Sarah's name.
Sarah is a name we both like.
As for Elinor: I initially wanted to honor Eldora & Carolyn but when we discovered Carolyn's middle name was Elenore and that Eleanor is a form of Helen, it really sealed the deal! I was looking for "El-" names to honor Eldora so Elinor really is the ultimate great-grandma-honoring-name (at least for our family)!
El for Eldora
Elinor for Carolyn Elenore
Elinor is a form of Helen
E for Erma
Sarah's name is now even more meaningful that Carolyn passed away on Tuesday, I am so happy that we chose a name to honor her although I wish that she would have had the chance to get to know her three great-granddaughters.
